We develop aesthetic concepts for both rural and urban gardens, which evolve into a developed design, followed by detailed construction drawings. To ensure a high level of quality, we supervise the project through to completion.
1. Initial Consultation
Our first on-site meeting allows us to understand the site and your needs and requirements. We will provide a written brief based on our discussion and follow up with a quotation for the garden design.
2. Garden Design
Once approved, we commission a landscape survey to inventory all existing elements on site. We produce a concept design sketch showing the layout and use of space and suggest ideas for materials and plants using mood boards. This stage is a work in progress.
3. Design Development
Based on the feedback from the Concept Design, we produce a Developed Design which includes a scaled master plan with 3D views and elevations where appropriate.
This completes the garden design package.
4. Planting Plan
Once the Developed Design has been approved, we will specify the various elements of the garden through a Planting Plan, accompanied by a Planting and Materials List. Where necessary this will include detailed working drawings.
5. Implementation
We ask trusted landscape contractors to provide a detailed budget for the implementation of the garden.To ensure quality and progress, we supervise the project throughout its implementation. This may include obtaining permissions, sourcing materials, weekly site meetings with progress reports and planting and tree planting.
