This family home on the corner of two streets was in need of privacy, a circulation system for its owners and a sheltered outdoor living space. The driveway was removed and its existing bricks and cobbles were reused in a winding path edged with tall flowering perennials. The remaining space was used for a small orchard, a stone terrace and a rustic wooden outdoor lounge, which includes a fireplace, bench and table. Pleached limes and yew hedges form the backbone of this garden, softened with roses, Clematis and Japanese grasses.
