A forgotten boxwood labyrinth garden

After the clients requested to remove the lawn from their garden, a low maintenance, aesthetically pleasing alternative was needed. Limestone gravel interplanted with Boxwood shapes provided the solution. To soften the hard lines of the boxwood against the gravel, small tufts of feather grass, sedums and lambs ear were added. A raised brick border with a 'veil' of purple and silver flowering perennials further add colour and seasonal interest to the garden. Eventually the boxwood will be clipped into cloud-like shapes, with the intended feel of a long forgotten labyrinth garden.
