This garden was created from a virgin forest with lots of scrub that had to be removed to reveal a few beautiful native pine trees. After doing so we chose a limited planting pallet of Japanese grass, Dogwoods, Rhododensdrons and Japanses maples. This gave the site a beautiful sense of calm and necessary unity. A swimming pool in a sunny spot provides cooling on warm summer days.
